2. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing

The outdoor video surveillance serves the exercise of domiciliary rights (Hausrecht), the prevention of criminal offenses (e.g., burglary, theft, vandalism, unauthorized entry), and the preservation of evidence in the event of incidents.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interests). Our legitimate interests consist of protecting our property, operational premises, and ensuring the safety of customers, visitors, and employees.

3. Recipients or Categories of Recipients of the Data

In principle, data is only transferred to third parties if this is necessary for the investigation of criminal offenses (e.g., disclosure to law enforcement agencies/police, courts, or lawyers in the event of a specific incident). There is no routine disclosure without cause or use of data for other purposes (e.g., marketing).

4. Storage Duration

Video footage is automatically deleted (overwritten) after 72 hours at the latest. Longer storage only takes place if a specific incident has been documented and the data is required for evidentiary purposes to pursue legal claims or investigate criminal acts. In such cases, the data will be deleted upon conclusion of the proceedings.

5. Your Rights as a Data Subject

You have the right to:

  • Art. 15 GDPR: Request information about your data processed by us;
  • Art. 17 GDPR: Request the erasure of your data stored by us (provided no legal reasons prevent this);
  • Art. 18 GDPR: Request the restriction of the processing of your data;
  • Art. 21 GDPR: Object to the processing of your data.

To exercise these rights (in particular for information requests), you must specify the exact time period and location of your presence on the premises so that the corresponding video sequences can be reviewed. Furthermore, pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates data protection law
